General Rules for All Students

At Nazareth Residential School, we believe that discipline and structure are essential for the holistic development of our students. Our Rules & Regulations are designed to create a safe, respectful, and productive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. These rules apply to all students, whether they are day scholars or hostel residents, and are strictly enforced to maintain the integrity and culture of our school.

General Rules for All Students

  1. Language:

    • English is the mandatory language for communication within the school premises or while in school uniform.

  2. Uniform and Appearance:

    • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform daily, which should be clean and tidy.

    • Prohibited Items: Additional ornaments, cosmetics, colored hair, body piercings, fancy hair clips, gaudy earrings, and colored hair bands are not allowed.

  3. Personal Belongings:

    • Students should only bring textbooks, notebooks, and necessary study materials to school.

    • Prohibited Items: Books, magazines, comics, toys, and other non-essential items are not allowed.

  4. School Property:

    • Students must take good care of school property, including desks, benches, teaching aids, and other facilities.

    • Damage or Defacement: Willful damage to school property will result in the student being required to repay or replace the damaged item.

  5. Behavior and Conduct:

    • Students must maintain decent and polite behavior at all times.

    • Prohibited Actions: Teasing, bullying, fighting, cheating, lying, using foul language, or any form of misconduct is strictly forbidden.

    • Respect: Students must greet teachers, peers, and other members of the school community respectfully and cheerfully.

  6. Punctuality and Attendance:

    • Students must be punctual and attend all classes, including extra classes arranged by the school.

    • Absence: Absence from school without a leave letter or leaving school during school hours without permission is not allowed.

  7. Co-Curricular Activities (CCA):

    • Participation in CCA is compulsory for all students, as it is an integral part of the school’s overall program.

  8. Homework and Tests:

    • Students must complete all homework, class tests, weekly tests, and revision tests using the correct books and materials.

  9. Prohibited Activities:

    • Intoxication: Consumption of alcohol, tobacco, or any intoxicating substance is strictly prohibited.

    • Disobedience: Refusal to obey school rules or instructions from teachers and staff will result in disciplinary action.
